Looks like Zeev, one of the head guys over at Zend, forgot to delete this test file from the php.net site:

For instance, he has 'register_globals' enabled (this is heavily discouraged, for the non-php'ers out there). ... Ha! Zeev seems to be *really* into growing peppers & veggies... otherwise, its basically useless stuff.

Well Rasmus himself doesnt see register globals as a problem if you program correctly. The problem is that all the newbies *dont* know how to program properly and therefore develop scripts that are flawed. Solution, force them to use register globals off.
