Ok English is not my mother tongue, but "in the internet you can find information" sounds strange to me. I would rather have "on the...". "In a network", but "on the internet". Just sounds more right to me... (Do they speak English on the North Pole or is English a foreign language to you AlCapone? )

All in all prepositions are really crappy things and they are even worse in Norwegian.

Yep you got that correct - not that I am trying to hide it.

Really, I think of internet as of a network which contains info. Information is not on it, not at it, but rather in it. 'Over' is probably as foreign to the internet as I am to usa

That's not correct, tho. The internet is a network CONNECTING devices, it does not contain data iteself so the data isn't IN the internet. Traditionally, data is considered to be ON a device (perhaps because it's written ON the surface of media?... tho once in RAM it's considered IN RAM.

Also, computers (and therefore the computer's user) are considered to be ON the internet once connected.

Your explanation would make "at the internet" logical (I know it's wrong)

okie, by "network which contains info" I really meant network which contains info, not network which interconnects devices who got the info. Now, I know the definition of 'internet' and how it came around, and whenever I do anything related with it I picture series of boxes connected with this wire (way too simplified), but when I sit in front of my computer I see internet as a place rather then net.
Technically - I am 100% wrong here, but cruel reality is that I do not want to think of all the stuff working behind flashing lights of hub, but hey, thats just me
