AskMe.com Replacement??
Does anyone know a site where you could ask real people just about any subject. There are some I've seen like About.com, but they're not comparable to askme.com

Well not sure about a good replacement but hey you're on a forum here with thousands of knowledgable people, why not try posting your question(s) here.

I meant to ask questions not only on programming, but with other stuff as well, like let's astronomy, mathematics, English, you name it.

People ask all sorts of questions here. We're not just computer geeks you know. We have people here who are accomplished / interested in physics, mathematics, language arts, literature, history, economics, mechanics, politics and social sciences, art, etc. My personal interests include physics (particularly the physics of deep space anomalies like black holes, quasars, etc.), 'modern' sci/fi and fantasy literature, classical music, and automobiles (especially fast and/or classic cars).

Ctb makes a great point - many people who participate on DevShed have varying areas of expertise.

Yeah that's true, but with a knowledgebase, just find out what it was called
(really satisifed), you can make sure who you are asking, and you can't really deny that this was built mainly for programming questions although there is lounge, that's where I am in right now . It would be weird asking about, let's say teen, college, or marital problems here, although it's possible. |
