Unhappy Avatar... how?

I don't get it. I try to upload an Avatar and get a message that the image is too large and the dimension is limited by pixels. But what pixels. what by what?

I've decreased an image down to 16x16 so that it's impossible to discern what it actually is. Thing is, it's still too large. So moderators and anybody, what's going on here then?

I suffer from the same thing. It just keeps telling that it's too large. It would be actually nice to know what is the proper size.

Oh, that's not very good. Suppose it stops dodgy avatars though.

Oh well....

You could always try hitting 32767 posts...

I've been fooled by that page as well, and the closest to an avatar you can get is to include a remote picture in your signature...

But do we want avatars?

Only 32,000 and a few to go then. Better get posting furiously (or if not furiously then slightly peeved), to make that golden - and slightly irregular - number.

Or, like you said, I could put a picture in my signiture...

Excuse my ignorance of the terms, what's 'post war' mean then? Does it mean:

a) the time after wartime?
b) a conflict with a cylindrical object sticking out of the ground?
c) firing forum posts back and forth with little content in the aim to stir up ill feeling?

If it's the later then it sounds like fun, but I don't want to be banned or anything. So a marginally tepid war it may be...

....do I have to aim it at anyone in particular? Or possibly it could be a war with my own inner torment (deep or what) and therefore I can just post to myself, which would be amusing (for a while).

Confusion, confusion, confusion...
The term was used to be interpreted by the reader as whatever the reader might prefer...
I humbly beg of your forgiveness if I somehow have caused you any inconvenience, as that was not my intention. At all...

So, IMHO,
a) Hopefully the age we're living in, is after the wars...
b) Were I live, we dont have any cylindrical objects sticking out of the ground were we can start wars. Though we have some yellow squarish things often attached to buildings or street lamps. Find it hard to justify the need of a war because of those though...
c) The first part of that alternative sounds OK, but is it necessary to stir up ill feeling? Coz I would prefer not being banned as well...

And I guess you're free to aim it at anyone you desire... If you wish to aim it at yourself, then I shall not stand in your way... The response may not be as challenging though... I might feel like throwing in a punch every once in a while, which I hope I'm allowed to do...

Sincerely

//NoXcuz

Sure! If I start a war with myself then you can be part of the axis forces. I'm yet to work out if that means you'll be me or me, or not. next...

Okay, so if not to stir up ill feeling then is it indeed a war? Or could it be made a war if for example I were to infiltrate one forum into another so that most people are talking on the wrong topic, thereby creating a terratorial conquest.

Don't know what the yellow square things are but they don't sound very war like...

P.S. Do I need a flag?

I'll wait until you've decided which side I shall join then...
Maybe friendly wars are the next big thing to come?
Though conquests are excellent topics for wars... May that be regarding women, whisky or land...

But I think you came up with the idea about infiltrating forums a little too late. There are already plenty of users using that tactics. And it sometimes works too... Though maybe some of the less frequently visited forums could use some of that infiltration...

And the yellow square things I was rambling about are similar to those red cylindrical things you seem to have in the ground.

As long as you don't think that someone will conquer your flag, I think it's a good idea...

Thought so, just wondered whether you're talking about them or litter bins.

Well, I'm off to start a war on another forum.... flag in tow.
