I searched for posts and got this "Displaying Topics 1 to 25 of 3790" I don't have 3790 posts, how could I have posted in 3790 threads?

You know, if I am not mistaking (I could be wrong) - but ever since the forum changes, it appears as if they are using something simular to mod_rewrite for the links. When viewing the forum pages now, the links are appearing as directory structures and not with query strings.

Is this the reason for the sudden increase in visitors. I think it may be.....

It was about two months ago when I did a search on DevShed on google and I don't think have of the indexed pages showed as are showing now...

I think the search engines will index more of the forum if the links are normal HTML links. There might be something in the bots that stop them from visiting the one page too many times (stops them from getting stuck in loops).

Onslaught, you know what sounds like fun? Going thru those ~4k posts and seeing which ones are duplicates That might take a while... I probably should report prob to vbulletin team or something....

jpenn, nah, meta tags don't work - I had my official name in the tag and I've seen many times googlebot wondering around but I get 0 results when I search for it.

I searched for 'posts by'. When I search for posts with alcapone in them I get 503 and capone alone gives 52. So that doesn't add up...
