binky is famous ;)
Yes I am bored - friday morning and I don't feel like working. So I searched google for 'forums devshed' and I found this -> http://www.pgro.uk7.net/qu061502.htm which is kinda funny. Then I searched devshed and find the thread where that came from -> http://forums.devshed.com/showthrea...&threadid=31435
Pretty cool, eh?

I hesitate to post this, but I guess it will be found out soon enough anyway:
It's my fault binky's quote ended up there. I had been communicating with Fabian Pascal (database writer who does most of that site), and I mentioned to him that we were discussing his site and ideas at Devshed. Of course, I never thought he would actually write two articles about it also .Sorry, Binky. I know you were just new to some of these concepts. I didn't mean to drag you into the limelight so soon. To be fair, Fabian Pascal is known for beign blunt, and not always polite in his discussions with the less knowledgeable. When I first saw the article, I thought I was going to come off badly too, but I managed to escape by the skin of my teeth, apparently .(P.S. I have since learned to be correct in my terminology: a "database" is the collection of data you manipulate, while a DBMS is the program you use to do it.)

hmmmm... which brings up an interesting question... either google sucks, or devshed has un-searchable archive... http://forums.devshed.com/search.ph...rder=descending "Displaying Topics 1 to 25 of 2196" hmm.... so it does have and archive. I am missing 1500 posts... oh well, at least google still rocks!
