Client support after job completion
I work in a small company and have developed and manage a number of sites using PHP/MySQL - so far all of our work has been in house, so I have no experience of client issues.
I have recently signed up for a reseller plan outside work with a view to doing some freelance work and have a few sites in the pipeline using PHP/MySQL which I can host myself.
I was wondering, who admins their database/server when the job is over. I will provide them with a basic backend so they can add products etc. (in one case it is a real estate agent's office - they will want to add properties and take them down etc - not big-budget)
Should I give them phpMyAdmin for their database only (presume this is possible) and hope they will manage? They will have only very basic internet knowledge.
After completion, obviously, it would be ideal to keep calls etc to a minimum.
Just wondering how others handle post-completion issues.
Any feedback much appreciated!
