    Well, us people from Boston sure don't pronounce it "sen-ter". It would be closer to "senta" for me.

    Hell, Worchester becomes Wostah.

    I knew a guy named "Jared" that pronounced his name more like "Jay-Rod" in two very distince syllables. Sounds more like <drawl redneck="extreme">looks like she blew a J-Rod</drawl>

    hmm, that's how Worcester in Worcestershire UK gets pronounced by most people i know too....
