    New Development Architectures?

Here's a question which probably deserves far more consideration than can be adequately described here but at a very high level...

If you were starting a new web development organization, starting with a completely blank piece of paper, what architecture(s) would you choose?

Basic parameters are that it should be data driven, should be easily extensible for mobile (responsive), fast to develop, open source.

I think the LAMP development framework has been tremendous, but has technology moved on?

Is Bootstrap enough of a framework to develop adequately?

    High level thoughts?

No. LAMP is still the most popular framework.

JavaScript is gaining popularity on the server-side, particularly stacks based around Node.js, but the technology has a lot of maturing to do still. I expect it will eventually overtake the AMP part of LAMP, but on a timescale of 1-2 decades, not a matter of years.
