Dub not reggae
I love the sound of dub - the syncopated chords, and the easyness of dub makes a totally unique sound.. one that I can always spot, but never describe. How do you describe dub to a dub newcomer, without just describing reggae?

well, this is the lounge, innit!

believe it or not...
You'll laugh - I was actually listening to a track by the Orb called 'Towers of Dub' - it's sort of a cool ambient dub and I love it. As for other stuff, I don't have ANY dub in my MP3 collection but we have a great radio DJ here in UK, (called Jon Peel) who plays lots of lesser-known music and loads of stuff on unknown independant labels.. and quite often some bits of dub come out.

I was also hitching to Spain a couple of months ago (as you do) and one of the drivers I hitched with was playing a dub collective on his stereo... I was in heaven for about 2 hours !

do you know of any mp3 sources I use an ftp macine here in London with stax of warez and musak, but nothing of that genre...
