I use NoteTab for a good portion of my work. It has a lot of features and is highly customizable.

I prefer HTML-Kit! What I like most about it is the fact that it has built FTP software — good for lazy folks like me!

Cheers,

I use EditPad Pro. Fast text/binary editor. Customizeable syntax coloring. Regular Expression search and replace functions. Cheap.

rendy,
I'm not in the mood for a Emacs vs. Vi(m) discussion. As you probably know thats the nice thing about linux, you can choose any package you want and most of the time customize it to your exact personal needs.

BTW: This is my first post with RH 8.0, which rocks (untill now, anyway). Ximian Evolution Rules!
