EZ BIOS!!! I'm IN NEED OF LAPTOP RECOVERY ASSISTANCE -_- ..please?

I recently lost my EZbios (EzDrive) floppy disk that contained the original software that would allow you to bypass the floopy drive boot seek on Laptops.. and Desktop Computers.

Na... didn't loose the disk.. F****** thing corrupt on me!

anywho.. it was a vital utility that has now been out of business for years.. and only the **** (CRAPY) companies aquire the program that doesn't even work for ****..... Maxtor, Westerdigital, IBM.

is there an E.T. out there that can help?!

Moved, to the appropriate forum (had nothing to do with databases).

Generally the boot sequence is governed by the bios. You can turn off the floppy seek in the boot sequence. Then your computer won't boot to the floppy.

The EZbios I'm familiar with allowed you to install harddrives on systems that were too large for the motherboards to support. I've never even heard of what you are describing.

I knew about dissabling Boot Floppy Seek on my IBM laptop... but that still wouldn't stop the darn computer from looking for an external floppy drive.

the program that you are specifying is what i was using... i should have also has an option that allows you to block out the boot floppy seek.. and go strait for the Boot Partition on the Hard Drive.

I've tried the latest version that Maxtor, WD, and IBM have produced.. but it doesn't seem to work.. compared the version that they bought out after going out of business.

Thanx though.. hopfully there's another alternative.. or someone with the old version
