wow, that is some specific daydreaming lol. Seriously, who has a dremel? I've always had to comprimise.
I have the RAM, Sound card and speakers that you listed. I'm VERY happy w/ my case and slightly more expensive mobo though. Also, I've always been diehard AMD and ATI fan, but that's for another forum ![]() |

I have a dremel, but that would be all I could contribute to the project

Only 1 gig of ram
? How about SCSI, actually I wouldn't go that route either but just thought I'd bring that up. For video card, although I used to be a pretty big Nvidia fan, their recent products and benchmark cheating have been a bit of a letdown. I'm currently happy with my Radeon 9800 Pro, but now I want the All-In-Wonder version since I just got a digital vid cam. After I get married soon, I'm supposed to be giving my comp to my wife and build myself a new one, looks like you've setup a decent guide for me. Probably not gonna splurge that much sound and instead get a firewire card for the cam. And I'm sticking with a large (21" or above) CRT as I'm a game player and hear the flat screens aren't suited for games too well. -b

Heh... anybody that puts more than a gig of RAM in a PC that will never even see video editing software simply has waaayyyyy too much money to burn! Quote:
Yea, that's what I'd have chosen too, but see my comment about laziness above. LOL. I'm not browsing off to another site to price something I can't afford anyway (I'm pretty sure TCWO has that card.. if not, they have the 9700 pro)! Quote:
Again, laziness comment. ![]() I was actually surprised. Googlegear only had one CRT monitor on the site and it wasn't a very good one. Quote:
Us poor folk that can't afford a $700 miter saw ![]() I don't know if I'd actually go with the 3.06 HT cpu... I might just cut the HT out to save some cash since it wouldn't give gaming much of a boost anyway.... |

Hardware's the only thing M$ ever did right!
Actually, it's the HDD I'm concerned about (and I don't know if I want the Spark or Volcano cooler). The specs on it are really good, but I don't think it's actually meant for gaming.... I think it's more for file serving in larger network servers... Last edited by Ctb : July 25th, 2003 at 12:12 PM. |
