JPenn -
Man.. you do NOT want to see the truck stops around here (theDude: think about Perry County Truckers for a minute )thedude - Wanda's yea, that's the club that's next to the holiday inn, but the restaraunt is part of the hotel so it has a different name. It's just some sort of little diner-ish thing themed after Marilyn Monroe. Wanda's is apparently the new center of the doldrums lately, however. Ever since Kid Rock, Fuel, and Godsmack got big they haven't had any good acts (not that I think Kid Rock is a good act..). Man, I remember the days when those groups would just go wandering through the crowds and chat with people... now they don't come any closer than Penn State or Philly One of my friends was there and he decided he didn't want to fight through a crowd of swaying kids during an N'Sync song, so he jumped off the deck into the parking lot and now he's not allowed back in Wasn't me mister bouncer man, honest!4Life - Depends what sort of food you like. If you're near Mechanicsburg, you have to hit Brothers pizza on the Cumberland Parkway. They have the BEST meatball subs you could possibly ask for. They make pretty good roast beef subs too! If you like Mexican, hit El Rodeo on the Carlisle Pike. They have pretty good food, you get a LOT, and it's really cheap. |

Thanks, CTB! I'll have to try that sometime! Have you ever tried the New Kingston Deli in New Kingston? They are an excellent pizzeria! Btw: I'm from Harrisburg, but originally I was raised in Perry County (hick country
).How old are ya CTB - maybe if you're between the ages of 16 and 20 (im 17 ) and have some freetime we could hangout somewhere?Cheers, Joe of 4Life ![]() [edit[Hmmm, your profile says you are 21 [/edit] |

I now bring you ...
the Gallery of Regrettable Food. (Update: for some reason, some of those links only work in IE .)

What the hell were people eating in the 50s?!?
It's like marmalade mixed with all sorts of crazy meats. Animal organs. And all that canned meat. (loaded with who knows what kind of crazy sodium derivatives). But probably the best one is: "Constipation Rare Among Savage Tribes"
