Flipbook

Not so shure as to which exactly forum should I fit this, so here it is:
I need a good flash component to do a flipping book effect on my webpage. Any suggestions?

What do U recon of page-flip dot com? Seems solid, a friend of mine uses it, praises them 4 good support

Well it depends, if you like paying for something that is free elsewhere then it will rock your socks I guess. I generally don't rate products on how good their tech support is since I tend to hope the product is sound enough that I won't need to contact tech support. If your friend has already had to contact them then personally I'd avoid that product, sounds flakey.

I've only used a pre-made page turner once and I think it was the link I posted before, the site looked different then though. The code was quite a mess imo but if you just wanted to use it straight outta the zip file then it was fine. I just had issues with it as I had to make significant modifications to it's inner workings to meet various client demands.

I'm tempted to report this thread as spam, we get alot of new users posting "anyone know a wicked app to do this?" and then another new user or the same one posting back with "product x is wicked". I'll give you the benefit of the doubt for now...

medialint agrees: at least he routed himself through another country instead of using a company e-mail and network
like our friend below who dug up a 7 year old post to "suggest" a product they're "pleased with" :_)
