I entered that number already, like I said, 2 hours ago Yea I figured when I saw that my points were 84, I figured the points I fold weren't == how many are on the site :/ That really makes me wonder how some people get 10,000 a day even with 4 computers.

There are many variations in the hardware and folding clients. For example, I am running three Q6600 quad-core machines with 9800GT GPUs and 64-bit Linux. The Linux SMP clients on those machines get up to 5600 points per day each depending on the core and work unit, and the GPU2 clients (running under Wine) get, on average, 4800 points per day each. Plus, I have two single cpu clients that turn in a work unit every two weeks or so.

I am assuming that you are running a single cpu client.

I am not a fancy linguist when computers come into the conversation. I have an Asus EEE PC 1000H. With the default gear on the computer, however, I recently changed to Vista (I love it, but I can't play chess because of my dam graphics card).

@Eric: Well done on getting that work unit in.

Every WU counts, so if you can; keep on conributing.

To answer your question in terms of 10,000+ ppd I have
    4 x Q6600's,
1 x Q9450 each running 2 x SMP clients each under Vista 32. 4 of these machines have 9800GTX cards running GPU SMP's, also
1 x XP std client and
    1 x 8 core Mac Pro running 4 x SMP's.

No CPU OC no fancy setups. Just constant 24/7 non stop folding as much as I can. I restart machines for driver or OS updates and the Mac Pro only folds when it is not begin used for editing.

Currently that yields around 35,000 - 45,000 ppd depending on the WU's. Power bill is excessive but I will fold as long as I can as I think it is a great cause.

    Just broke a major level:
    Points on DevShed team: 300,022
    WU's: 774

My new Core2Quad system has increased my points per day. Now if I could only get my GPU working under Linux to do folding.

    another round number
fishtoprecords WU: 4,466 Points for devshed: 401,620

Its been less than a month, it took over a year to make it to 300K.

Difference? I got a new Core 2 Quad setup, its cranking out.

Still haven't got a GPU to work, all this are boring old X86 CPUs.

Soon, I'll be up in the really hard to reach steps.

Nice to see that my simple and cheap quad core 2 can do a pretty good job.

Ok, i just installed folding on my windows 7 machine, and it seems to run, albeit with a few issues (i can't see any of the info they put in the lower left had corner. Has anybody tried it long term (or at least longer than me) on a windows 7 machine? will it still fold properly?

Well, even though it doesn't display, it does seem to work properly and update Standford.

Hi guys, I started folding again using the the service mode. But i noticed that my Local Area Connection is connecting and disconnecting most of the time. I never had this problem until i installed FAH as service.

Do you guys encounter this as well?

I just started folding last week again after a really long lay off.
Last computer fried a couple of times and am now all 'mac'ed up.

Anyway, just noticed I got a new 'blob',
so I again I can say 'Fold To Cure' ..
