Hi everybody,
I would like to introduce our new service at directoris.com; it's called: Co-Projects. (http://www.co-projects.com/) This service is dedicated to Entrepreneurs, Webmasters and Small Business owners who are looking for technical business partners to accomplish their projects. Basically, Co-projects is a meeting point where you conclude deals. You post your needs and what you can offer as part of a partnership. People will be searching Co-Projects for proposals. If they find your posting interesting, they will contact you. It's that simple. Please, let me know what you think. Thank you, - Vincent Hirth info@co-projects.com http://www.co-projects.com http://www.directoris.com http://www.small-business-forum.com |

That's a very nice concept, but I don't think that spam is too well accepted/liked here.

Well, thanks for the compliment "4Life'. Devshed didn't see my post as a spam, because it's not.
![]() Anyway, we are also impatient to read what the mags will have to say about Co-Projects. ![]() - Vincent Hirth info@co-projects.com http://www.co-projects.com http://www.directoris.com http://www.small-business-forum.com |

Only one big problem - you have no Privacy Policy posted. May I ask why this is?

Devshed didn't see your post as anything, it's the users who determine whether or not something looks like spam (unless it's clearly an advert...) and decide whether it should stay or go. I wouldn't label it as spam, but I think it should've been in Project Help Wanted... not the Lounge.
Anyway, ditto on the privacy policy. Some people consider that an important piece of a site, and I would like to see one posted on the site before participating. |

Hi Ctb,
Yes, I was hesitating between the two forums... As far as the Privacy Policy is concerned it's there now. The "header" file didn't make it through when we made our last update. Anyway, thanks jpenn for your post about it. Still, feedback on our service would be welcome. Thank you. - Vincent Hirth -------------------------------------------------------- info@co-projects.com http://www.co-projects.com http://www.directoris.com http://www.small-business-forum.com |

The privacy policy doesn't really seem to say "no - we won't share or sell anything you provide us", just sort of beats around the bush on the subject.
Also, I added an email to the mailing list that had a leading apostrophe without it throwing an error back to me. Not good. If that's going into your database you could wind up with people executing arbitrary SQL statements. I also used a lot of "Bad Things" as my name, address, etc. when I signed up. This could break things if you aren't careful (I didn't actually send any real commands so nothing would have been hurt in this case... but that doesn't mean someone else won't try to hurt you). As far as layout, I like it. Simple but attractive, and it works well in Mozilla, so it probably works well in the others as well. The only thing that bugged me was the menu that dropped down over the navigational links when I accidentally moved my mouse over the country. I like the idea too. I'm not a marketing genius (oxymoron....), so I often find myself providing programming but no marketing. Nice to be able to get other people on board in a centralized, easy-to-use, consistent manner. [edit] Oooooo dude... minus 10 for the popup... I had Mozilla killing them, but I turned it off when I saw Al's post above and re-tested the homepage... not cool. [/edit] Last edited by Ctb : December 21st, 2002 at 08:26 PM. |

Hi,
Well, nice feeback ![]() Al, I thought I killed TrafficZap popups earlier but I forgot one page No popups won't disturb the viewers anymore. Anyway, it doesn't work. Now, the privacy policy. Problem solved we added that bit "We will never share, rent or sell the information the Members are providing." Hope it's clear this time. I agree that it wasn't before. Ctb, I think we'll move that menu elsewhere. And also, thank you for your nice words on our layouts ![]() wow, I took a look at your registration. You're right, more filters needed here ... ![]() - Vincent Hirth -------------------------------------------------------- info@co-projects.com http://www.co-projects.com http://www.directoris.com http://www.small-business-forum.com |

1) Redirecting defeats purpose of your splash screen, so either loose your pic or don't redirect.
2) Drop that crap with changing status bar. That was tendency back couple years ago, but is highly frowned upon today. But other then that it looks good. |
