Game publishing?

I am the Co-Owner of Valhalla Productions, http://www.valhallaproductions.com/, and we are an indie game development company. We don't have a whole lot of money in our budget, and will be in need of getting our game published. Does anybody know of a good, fairly affordable, publishing company that could publish our game?

I think just about anybody can put something on xbox live arcade. Steam may be another alternative.

I think the idea is to make a few bucks ... how ready is the game? Do what bands do, look for the equivalent of an A&R guy to come and sign you up 'for this project only' unless you're aware of what you're getting into, seek legal advice.

If the game needs more polish before publication, then let the publisher look after the costs. Don't sign anything until you've got what you consider the best deal possible under the limitations. If costs are incurred, don't trade percentage points, do the maths, and get an agreement that you'll pay costs out of royalties ... some of these may not be workable with all publishers, I don't know, but I wouldn't be running open arms at the first publisher I met ...
