does anyone if there are any free perl scripts out there that can search a mysql database using DBI?

been there done that and surprisingly there are no free ones. There was one but it refuses to work with a database and works with a flat text file instead.

Anyone stupid or brave enough to help me so we can fix it to make it work with the databse?
