Well, I know MY mom wouldn't lie, and it is an interview with his parents.

In a previous career as a political organizer, I did a lot of media work (coordinate press conferences, interviews, etc.) and yes, I've seen how loose reporters can be with the facts. Sometimes from laziness, sometimes from misunderstanding, sometimes from personal prejudices. This just seems to have a little more authenticity.
