    Getting music onto a Chromebook

A friend of mine recently made the switch from her windows/iphone setup to an all-google life. Chromebook, Samsung Galaxy, and Dell Streak tablet.

However, there is a problem: None of these devices are a "real" enough computer for google's other services. She can't actually get Google Play Music installed on the Chromebook (it keeps asking her if she's debian or ubuntu), and plugging both the tablet and the phone into the chromebook does nothing.

Does anyone have any experience with getting the google lifestyle devices to actually synch to each other?

Which Chromebook, and aren't you supposed to install things through the Chrome store?

The crappy $200 one, straight from google

The chrome OS is...a bit weak. Attempting to install google play music from the chrome store brings her to the google play music website, which asks her if she's ubuntu or debian.

She has access to a "real" computer at her parents' house, so I'm just going to tell her to plug all her devices into her parents' computer and move on from there.

Update: She returned the Google Chromebook since it's incompatible with her google tablet and google phone and cannot connect to google cloud services. So...there's that. I know I won't be buying one.
