google positioning
there was a site where you could go and check your search engines positioning for a link against a query. probably there are more sites like this, do you know any?

I have used URL in the past to find out some things about different sites.
You can also use the advanced searches on google and other hosts to figure out how many other sites link to you. I am not sure exactly what information you are looking for but between the advanced searches and URL you should have a lot of information.

If you have WebPosition Gold you can use this to get good information regarding your site being in search engines as well as how well it ranks.
