My name's Neil, and I'm one of the developers at a search engine house called whatUseek. Our market is site level search engines. Anyhow, I dig this place. I like the devshed articles and just by chance I meandered over into the forums.

Which brings me to the fact that I also help run another vbulletin site called Head-Fi, a site dedicated to headphone hi-fi. Activity is pretty insane over there, and so are the people (about their headphone hi-fi [amps, sources, headphones, etc.] and music).

Indeed -- I've already delved into the Perl forum and have made a few scratches on the wall. I've always wanted a forum-style tech-centric site like this, but just haven't found it until recently. Don't get me wrong -- I like the Perl Monks, but having a more diverse crowd and topics has its pros (and cons, one might argue).

Nah - I've tried logic for last year to do that, doesn't work. The only thing that seems somewhat distract me from devshed is getting hit by a huge @$$ construction hammer right in the forehead Everything else failed miserably.

Gotta pick everyone's brains. You see, the hope I have in a place like this is that hours, days, weeks, or even months of time can be spared by learning from everyone elses experience rather than tripping around in my own mess.

We've had several partnerships with Australian companies (as well as with yours), and two things I've learned: (1) Aussie's have to be some of the savviest business people around, (2) Aussie's have the craziest sense of humor. I swear I've gotta hire an Aussie one of these days.
