That relaying error typically occurs when you are attempting to use an SMTP server, without being "allowed" to. For instance, you get your Internet access through a local ISP, but are trying to use smtp-mail.yahoo.com as your SMTP server, instead of the one provided by your ISP. This is very common practice and is a tool for helping prevent SPAM.

hi pieux, i very well understand that error message.

but i am using yahoo's web baed mail service only.
and not using my own email client.

also just to make sure, i sent mail from another web based email service and again it bounced.

so what do i do now ????

That's not what is occuring here. The developershed mail server is not relaying mail to an account on it's OWN domain.

jdk, rod k, I should have read the message more thoroughly. I was thinking jdk was experiencing what I'd very recently experienced in using Yahoo! for POP3 E-mail and also attempting to use them for SMTP. My mistake.
