Have you been flamed by someone famous?
Inspired by the Binky is Famous, I was wondering how many members here have been noticed by someone famous. Please post here if you meet the following:

(a) Person should be reasonably famous or infamous. "Reasonable" meaning somewhat notorious (if, even for 15 minutes). So being flamed by either Linus Torvalds or Bernard Shifman counts!

(b) Flaming, rebuking, yelling, chastising, mild putdowns etc. all count

(c) Incident need not have happened on the net. For example, if you managed to p*ss off a minor movie star once, that counts as well.

In light of these rules, let me be the first one to put something on this thread. I once posted many moons ago about what I thought was a bug in Emacs.

I got a few replies from various developers, including a slightly "interesting/irritated" one from RMS himself, that when cleaned up said, "It's not a bug dammit! It's a feature!" Wish I'd saved it for posterity.

I guess Binky, Rycamor and Andaness are admitted by default into this list, because of being mentioned by Fabian Pascal in here.

Well..not flamed, but I posted a post along time ago when I was into Visual Basic (3.0 ) and the famous Magus answered my post. I then went on to make Fate 4.0 with him..an AOL proggie

merlyn (Randall Schwartz, one of the better-known perl folks out there) gave me a smackdown on Perlmonks a couple of times.

He was correct, of course. I don't mind being smacked down if I'm wrong.
