Help out with a survey here!!
Hi!
Didn't seem to fit this into any of the other forums, so I put it up here. I've been doing a study at uni this semester on online communities and the use of XML to facilitate multiple interface deployment (flash/XHTML/PDA ++), We've got a survey up and running that will be a part of our study (due in 5 weeks), so I wondered if you could take the survey? http://cml.phpvolcano.com It will help me out a lot to get as many people as possible to give me feedback so that I can get a overview of what's going on in the developer community! Thanks! |

No offense, but that's a horrible survey. Surveys should be Yes/No/Maybe, etc, type multiple choice questions with maybe a few "text" answers.
This is just all my opinion, of course, so take it for what it's worth... I hope you get some good responses. ---John Holmes... |

No offense taken!
I just want some information on what people think about the idea; I've received both good and bad responses, and I want both!! Opinions are good!! The "survey" was laid out as it is because I didn't want to restrict what whoever responds wants to say. I'm analyzing this as a part of a uni degree, so I need some feedback, bot good and bad! (as long as you can argue your point of course!) |

I'll be honest with you, I saw all of the text boxes for every answer and I didn't even take it. Consider me lazy if you want. I don't know what the "norm" would be.
I think it's good for surveys to have mostly multiple choice, so it's easy to compile up some statistics. Of course, you provide areas where the taker can elaborate or give different answers, too. Again, just my opinion. I don't know if I can really "argue my point"... ---John Holmes... |

sorry dude, but I'm with SepodatiCreations here.. It's not something anyone would complete unless they really felt passionate about the CML subject. I'm at work at the moment, so I'm not going to take time out to start thinking about those answers
![]() wrt. the look of that site, it's nice, clean, simple, fast to load, so I can't fault it from that point of view. christo
