Let's say I have a domainname e.g. http://www.blablabla.com
I can easily route or ping that domain and get the IP entry for it but how can I find out if it uses different IP Addresses? I mean let's say it is a hosting company and each member gets a subfolder below that domain, e.g. http://www.blablabla.com/hosting1/ and that account is using another IP Address on the machine, how can find out that exact IP, where does that folder /hosting1 point to? is it even possible? |

The ip will be the same. Anything after the first "/" is in the same domain, so the ip's should resolve identically.

Nope. I think he's talking about ip-based virtual hosting, whereby a new virtual network interface is set up for every site on a webserver so allow such things as ssl on multiple domains..
/me is not sure of the answer christo (who had had a really boring day at work)
