IE Options problem

Help

Using IE5.5, ... Tools | Options | says

"This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator."

I'm using a PC. I can only go in to change options via teh control panel. This has just happened recently.

thanks in advance

Tried rebooting your system? Or reinstalling IE?

Yes

Yes, I've rebooted, re-installed and used MS's IE repair facility. All to no avail. The Warning dialog box continues to appear and stop any further use of the option option. I am slightly wary going down the road of uninstalling before re-installing, though.

Hey there

If you are just running this computer at home - what operating system are you running?

If you're running it on a network - then contact your system administrator.
