Hi,
I wonder if someone can help me.......I have a problem with internet explorer 6. When I open up IE 6 it goes to whatever website I type in without any problems but if I click on a link within IE6 it doesn't go anywhere, it just lays an identical screen on top of the one I was in, when I click on anything on this screen nothing works...it's just dead, if I then shut this page down I see my origional page and everything is live. The same thing happens if I'm in Outlook Express 6, if I click on a website link in an email it just lays an identical screen on top of the one I was looking at, the same thing happens if I close this screen...the origional one is there and I'm back in Outlook Express. I have had an error code: "Object Required" code:0, I've looked on the Microsoft site for these codes but found nothing. This is so frustrating as I can't use IE6 for browsing, I've loaded Netscape and it works perfectly. I've uninstalled IE6 a few times and even loaded another version but it's still the same. Has anyone had this problem? I'd appreciate any help you can give me on this one.... Thanks in advance, Jodie |

I'm not sure, but I think this might be because you've got a setting in your folder options that effects all microsoft products ... in Windows Explorer (not IE) go to Tools>Folder Options>General tab
{or maybe some other route, I'm running Win2000, whatever you're running will be a little different} ... but anyway, go there and then see if the option is checked to "Browse Folders" -- open each folder in its own window its not supposed to force a new window for IE6, but I've seen this happen in Windows Me ... anyway, it's something to check. have you also gone through the options in IE6 under tools>internet options>advanced? I don't see an option for new folder, but there might be that option in your configuration. worth a try, that must be driving you loony ![]() |

Uninstalled IE6 ???
Do you have anti-virus software running or have you scanned for viruses lately? |
