In 10 Years Time...

I was just sitting here working and i was thinking what the world will be like in the future.

In 10 years time do you think that Devshed will still be around?
Will we all still keep in contact?
Will computers control our lives?

Just like to know what you think about the future,

I doubt Devshed will be around in 10 years. Sites don't normally last that long. But hey if the site can grow and change with the OpenSource technology market then it just may be around. I think computers will be in more use in our lives but I don't think they will control our lives. I think that we will still be in control. Maybe more reliant on them but we will still be in control.

As to the contact thing, as technology develops and improves and becomes involved in our lives more I think communication will keep improving with it. Via the internet communication has been made easier than ever before. I think everyone will be communicating more with eachother since it will be easier and the costs will go down.

Technology is bringing people together, not pushing them apart.

In ten years, maybe. But remember when Alexander the Great died, so did his empire. M$ will not last forever. Maybe 50 years or a hundred, but a thousand years from now a window is again something to look outside through (and a bug is again a six-legged creature). Isn't that reassuring ?

Microsoft will be around in 10 years time. They weathered a massive anti-trust legal battle and come out fine. If you can survive persecution by the US Government, you can survive ANYTHING!

Microsoft are like the Mafia - instead of 'off-ing' people, they buy companies, change/integrate their products and re-release them under different names.
