    What's your favorite text editor?
Some day I'll create a smart quote to put here.

Sups Guys. Found the board today and signed up. Great site. If you like Mustangs you should check out my site in my link... and if you want to help me figure out a very frustrating problem dealing with phpbb and cookies on multiple domains that would be great as well.

    off-topic, but...

every cookie is valid for one domain only. so when you try to read a cookie from a different domain, it doesn;t work. You have to set the cookie multiple timnes, once for each domain.

    And welcome to DevShed!

Would I be able to give each domain name a different cookie and domain name such as this....

    .v6stangs.com
    .phpbbv6
    /

    .v8stangs.com
    .phpbbv8
    /

    .classicstangs.net
    /phpbbc
    /

and then have one login script that sent the user these three cookies on login?

please make a new thread to discuss this in the appropriate forum... but anyway, I don't think so, as its set from the domain name (ie, www.devshed.com can only set domains for www.devshed.com and only readable by www.devshed.com)

lo, my name's Lee or Steelrat when online or if some one hasnt stolen my name, grrrrr!!! But anyway, i'm 15 years old and live in north east England. I'm basically still learning programming and stuff but my main focus is web design. I can code HTML, PHP and SQL pretty well and know more about computers than anyone i know. I like to play online games on my PS2 but mainly socom with my friends. Oh yeah, and since some other people were mensioning their first computer, mine was custom built about 7 years ago with a pentium 133mhz processor, 32mb ram, 16mb graphics, 1.8gb hd and windows 95. i wish i couldve tried out all of the older computers that some people talk about having and probably also wish i had've started learning programming earlier or i'd be better than i am now but back when i got my first computer i though programming was something that only people with programming jobs can do.

I'm 27 years old, originally from Honduras, Central America, but I lived in Louisiana for the past 11 years, so I'm about half cajun.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from LSU (Geaux Tigers!)

My first computer was a Tandy 1000 (or 100, I don't remember) but it had two 3.5 floppy drives and no hard drive, but all of my friends' computer had only either one floppy drive or 5.25 drives, so I was cool back then. I wrote my first program in basic and It was the coolest thing ever!

I'm 22; graduated from Iowa State with a useless BS in comsci and live in MN, near the twin cities. I've been doing web work since high school; I'm on a contract job in FL writing PHP/mySQL right now. It's good to know people.
