ive been an intern here for about a month now. and i literally do not do anything each and every day. all i do is read devshed for 8 hours.

i don't do much at work either, my technical positon is "junior webmaster" i spend more time answering the phone and doing photo copies. thats about 20 minutes a day, of 8 hours. the rest of the time im messin around trying new things that i won't be using here.

work at Boeing in california.
got hired to do some database stuff by the guys upstairs. too bad there was miscommunication and it turns out there really is nothing for me to do.

so i spend all day messing around on devshed and experimenting with advanced javascript/dhtml stuff and workin on my site.

i get an engineer's salary too =)

Red face How do you kill 8 hours?
Took a job as web developer - more money, better position, figured I'd learn alot. Mostly what I've learned is how hard it is to last 8 hours with nothing to do!! There are rare days of work, but they are few and far between The company seems perfectly happy with this situation. There are several other programmers here in the same situation. I've had more than one person remind me that this is most people's dream job - lotta money, little work. So, I guess I shouldn't complain.

I would like to take this time to gloat. I am an intern at NASA getting $11/hr. I spend all day playing with Flash MX and surfing devshed. Well, that's not intirely true. I did make a C++ graphing program(the point of my internship) in about two days

Wow, I didn't realize there were so many interns on here! That's at least 4 I know of now.

There are a couple of Ohio States here
Most of the interns come from
-RIT
-Purdue
-CalTech

And I even know a kid from Yale

But... There are also quite a few from OSU, Penn State, and even a community college around here(However, I don't think they get as much )
