Java not working

Heya,

This has been driving me up the wall. I've not been able to view java applets at all for about 6 months.

I've downloaded the latest Java Virtual Machine and IE6, which I thought would solve the problem but nooooooooo...

And yes, I have enabled Java in my Internet Options

Can anyonw explain this?

You can probably find the Java 2 plugin (yes, Java 2 requires a plugin because micro$lop don't feel like updating their Java implementation) from http://java.sun.com

You can also configure your JRE in the control panel with JRE 1.3 (maybe 1.2, not entirely sure) and up.
