Human languages?? Six for my situation, only because of exactly how and where I grew up at just. By just how, a large number of kids in my neighborhood had been tri-lingual and also truly a few were quadri-lingual.

English. Spanish when I was young, but only remember "besa mi culo" now. I tried to learn Mandarin, but I can't get the sing-song endings down, so if I say "ma" it can mean any of four different things (but I can say DaWei).
Functionality rules and clarity matters; if you can work a little elegance in there, you're stylin'.
If you can't spell "u", "ur", and "ne1", why would I hire you? 300 baud modem? Forget I mentioned it.

The thread is about programming languages. Please read.
Based on the OP, I believe this is about human languages.
