laptop screen colours

Hi,

I'm working on an intranet site that will have a high proportion of laptop users. I don't use or have access to a laptop so I can't test for myself, but I want to know what colours and fonts are best for visibility on a laptop screen? Anybody know of any guidelines? Personal experience? Same as CRT?

Personal experience.....

I've got a laptop 1 year old (good speed) with a 13.3" TFT Screen. I use it at 1024 x 768 resolution , 16 bit colour. I have not changed the font size in browser so its at default.

The font size is the same as 17" desktop monitor. The font is clearer than youd find on a CRT screen. Colors are slightly different to a normal monitor. Bit darker. Doesnt mean keep away from a particular colour. I would design it as u would for normal monitor. I would find out if the majority of laptops screen size is 12" or 13" (or bigger) first though.
