I have a client that is looking at the site that I built and telling me how slow it is on the DSL connection. I too have a dsl connection and it flys for me.(Even after all the cache is clear and even form computers where the site has never been up before) I realize also that not all dsl is created equal. But I am looking for a site on the net where you plug in the url and it diagnosis any problems and speed comparison. Anyone? Please help.

Check out the World Wide Web Consortium's HTML Validator. It should help work the kinks out of your code.

You can also check out www.netmechanic.com.
You can use their free trial (http://www.netmechanic.com/toolbox/html-code.htm) (don't even have to register if you do one page at a time) and it'll give you back some useful info and ratings: link check load time and some other stuff that probably doesn't work tremendously well (HTML check & repair, browser compatibility, and spell check). Actually, I never really use this, but love the w3c's validator. |
