Looking For expreinced PHP programmer

I am looking for and expreinced php prgrammer to write scripts up for my gaming site now you wouldn't get paid for it, since my site is non-income but you would get reconized in the gaming community and will eb credited for all your work on the site and free e-mail addresses yourname@games-are-forever.net and maybe free website hosting as well, if anyone is considering thos please e-mail me at admin@games-are-forever.net also you must be able to make php work with MySQL Thanks, Mike

Kewl, that is very motivating

I don't want to be negative but:
1. There are just to much gaming sites out there.
2. Most (especially the expererienced) PHP programmers are just to busy.
3. Promising an e-mail adres or web hosting won't help much.
4. I understand that you can't pay anyone, well we can't live on charity can we?


However, I don't want to discourage you in building your site. Why don't you learn PHP/mySQL yourself?

well I have been trying but at my rate, I wouldnt finish my site, all I have done so far is wrote a script that prints the name bob 4 times lol, and alot of you folks seem negative around here, not to be a **** or anything but Im new to this forum and not use to everyone being negative as people in the gaming community arent

Well, I think we are very tolerating. I haven't seen that much flaming around here. And why do you think the gaming community is so positive?

We are very helpfull and encouraging to newbies who want to learn programming. You say that you made a script that prints Bob 4 times, well that's a start. Don't be lazy and don't expect anyone to do the work for you. When you have questions about PHP we are willing to help you, but don't expect us to build your site for you.

It has been said, "Find a job you love and you'll never have to work a day in your life." That's where some of us are, we'd rather write a game program than play one.

I've been programming a long time (I remember when a terminal was a Teletype machine and storage was punched tape), but I'm a newbie at PHP/MySQL and a lot of these other web wonder goodies. I have found this to be a great place to come with those questions that fall between the cracks in the documentation.

Is this a 'click' gaming site, or a site for commercial games such as Half-Life?

I'll be willing to work as a javascript/perl programmer (not too much experience in the latter though, but A LOT in the other).
