Matrix Reloaded
I can't believe no one has said anything about Matrix Reloaded! I have seen it twice now. The first time was last night (14th -- the day before it is supposed to come out) at 10PM. I just got back from the 7PM showing. It is so incredible! Anyone else seen it?

I have been discussing it in other forums
![]() I think the movie was great but there were some things I didn't like about it. 1. The dancing/sex scene at start went on for way too long and didn't add anything substantial to the movie. 2. There were lots of characters added to the movie with very little or no introduction and very little character development. 3. There was a lack of storyline/plot to the movie. It almost seemed chaotic and disorganised. 4. The ending just sucks. I have never seen and ending to a movie that bad. But, despite all that, it is still an awesome movie. I don't think it was as good as The Matrix, but it did provide several great insights into the movie. The fight/action scenes were simply amazing. I will be seeing it about 3 more times before it leaves the cinema, thats for certain. |

I have a feeling I'm going to be flamed...
Don't hate me because I have a differing opinion
. Let me premise this by saying, while I was a bit let down I did enjoy the movie. Couple gripes NOTE SOME SPOILERS :1)Rave scene ridiculously long and drawn out without much importance in the movie 2)Some of the fight scenes were also too long and looked too choreographed. I'm not saying it because the actors aren't professional martial artists, either. This type of thing happens in Jet Li/Jackie Chan movies too, where the fighting just doesn't seem to have much weight behind the movements and it looks like people are moving to the next sequence without even completing the inital block of a hit. 3)I favor subtelty over having explicit dialogue having to say, "hey look this is ironic, or this is important!" 4)Kind of in line with the subtlety thing in #3, that whole cake thing was a bit ridiculous, and could've had the same exact overall events without the digital "crotch shot." (And no I'm not against nudity ) 5)Music as a whole didn't fit as well as the first movie (especially in the Smiths vs Neo first fight) That being said, I was reading some forum threads on other forums about it and there were some nice tie-ins with the first movie (the architect screens, are the same screens when Neo is getting first interrogated by Smith in the original), and it definitely feels like a "linker" movie that will both be more appreciated with more viewings, and be appreciated when the trilogy is revealed as a whole. Just didn't have the wow, this is everything I wanted feel to it. Coming out of the theater, I remember telling my girlfriend and my brother, it was good but I thought X2 was more satisfying. -b

I remember hearing that this sequel would really tick off fans because of the ending. And apparently that is why the next one is scheduled to come out so quickly.

Doesn't it almost seem like M3 and T3 should be the same movie? C'mon - both have to do w/ post-apocalyptic themes, man vs. machine ... what if the robots from Terminator were the ones burrowing to Zion in Matrix? Why can't Neo be buddies w/ (whatever his name is, the protagonist) from Terminator?

Yes - thats exactly what happened. To tell you the truth, it don't matter how bad the movie in general is (its not bad, just kind of slow at times), the fight/action scenes are some of the best (if not the best) to ever be showcased on the big screen... |

Hah, actually the end didn't bother me at all, just made me want to see the third one. BTW did anyone stay after the credits to see the trailer for revolutions?
The fight scene in the car between Morpheus and the ghost was my favorite out of all of them. One last gripe, for some reason the speech at Zion from Morpheus felt weird, not sure if it was the delivery of it by Fishburne or the actual words. -b |

Actually I didn't stay myself. I heard about it before I went, but I figured it was just the same one that I found the day before the Matrix was released. I mirrored it here :
Revolutions Trailer If anyone did see the trailer can you let me know if it was different (and how). If that link doesn't work let me know and I'll repost it. |

i think the movie fell inlines with star wars ep 2. There was a plot line but it was hindered by bad actors. for example...every time neo talked i just though of Bill and Ted...it's still a good movie i just dont think i'm going to spend anymore money on it untill i can rent it.
