Web development can be a daunting task, even for specialists. There is a lot of information to absorb and a lot of technologies to learn in order to manage a superior website. When trying to learn the ropes, developers need a reliable source to introduce new ideas that can be easily implemented. When working on large projects, even web veterans may run into a technology or an aspect of a technology that they are unfamiliar with.

Thanks to those who give me a day off of school.
Other than that, I really don't care... It's been over with far before my time, no need for it to really concern me now.
Edit: You're right, maybe I should be a bit more thoughtful - and I apologize if I offended anybody, but my original post stays.

Rational thinkers deplore the excesses of democracy; it abuses the individual and elevates the mob. The death of Socrates was its finest fruit.
Use XXX in a comment to flag something that is bogus but works. Use FIXME to flag something that is bogus and broken. Use TODO to leave yourself reminders. Calling a program finished before all these points are checked off is lazy.

So all my friends who have been killed in Iraq are just "a way to get a day off of school."

You stupid ****off! I wish I could re-rep you. That is very disrespectful. Those men and women that died died FOR YOU. Without them you would be speaking german or Japanese and you sure as hell wouldn't be able to make such retarted comments on a web forum!

"codergeek42 disagrees: Easy, cody. Let's try to be civil about this, please..."
Well that is plain disrespect. I don't agree with those whole Iraq thing but it's not the soldiers fault. It's the administration. This is one thing that will trip my trigger. Those veterans have sacraficed so damn much so you can live free. Show them some damn respect.

its not his lack of respect that bothers me, its his lack of concern.

in light of what is going on in the world today, i see days like this all over the world as an important reminder of the value of human life, and the sheer scale of the sacrifice that has been made in the past for the morals and idealogies, and freedoms we now take for granted.
Those people were someones father, brother, sister, mother, child. It deserves concern.

You realize that "supporting our troops" as a complete euphemism, right? I know people who support our troops and want them to kick *** in Iraq/Pakistan/where, but I support our troops and want them back home - alive.

Geez dude, that's just not right... The men and women of the US armed services died for your right to live! (even if you aren't American, many of them still died for you!!!)
Maybe we should have just kept to ourselves, then you wouldn't have to go to school at all, you'd be out in the fields working all day for your <German, Russian, Japanese> overlord, with an average life expectancy of 50yrs MAX, though with that attitude you probably wouldn't see the bright side of 15!
