Not really achievement but got a new project, worked hard for it and then fell in love(ya, I am still a s/w engineer under process) and finally rejected the project for lack of time, which apparently is flowing much faster. Somehow still managed to find some time for the forum though.

Been a while - but I've been blessed in the last year:
    • 2nd Microsoft ASP.Net MVP Award
    • New job that I love as Director of IT as a small college
    • Paid off the 2005 Chevy Aveo
    • It's now been 7 years since I first joined DevShed.

21 is the federal age limit for alcohol in most if not all US States ... might actually be 25 in some, but I stand to be corrected ...

It's not over 21 anywhere. Were some states that stuck with 18 for a while (back when I was around 18 myself) but I think it's 21 in all states now. The Feds pressured the states threatening to withhold infrastructure funding unless they upped it.

Ah ... a little research and this is it:

The National Minimum Drinking Age Act of 1984 (23 U.S.C. § 158), also called the Federal Uniform Drinking Age Act, was passed on July 17, 1984 by the United States Congress as a mechanism whereby all states would become thereafter required to legislate and enforce the age of 21 years as a minimum age for purchasing and publicly possessing alcoholic beverages. Under the Federal Aid Highway Act, a state not enforcing the minimum age would be subjected to a ten percent decrease in its annual federal highway apportionment.[1]
Ah, 1984 ... I was actually 16 at the time.

I was 16 and drinking plenty ... where I'm from, we didn't so much see it as a law, more of a guideline really, that and closing time ...

10 days late, 28 hours of labor, and 4 days in the NICU, and we finally have a baby girl! Rebecca was born 10/8 and I've been on sabbatical since then.
