    Clearly this whole pocket computer accessing the complete Internet depends on good coverage where the people are. I would not think of places like Medford or even Bend as having enough people to cause the telcos to put in service.
    Klamath Falls, actually. Verizon's network is pretty well covered out here though. If I'm traveling from here to Medford, I hit a few dead spots on my phone, but it's that way for all cell users in those passes. Lake of the Woods and Doak are just horrible for reception, but I have a CB in my truck for those areas.
