New "article" column
jcaputo,
I dig the new article column. Two ideas, however, on the layout: 1. Organize the article links w/ topical headers, such as: PHP Perl Topical organization would allow for faster location of articles meaningful to each individual reader. 2. As long as you're taking up those 185 pixels on the RH side of the page, why not extend the article column all the way down, as well? vB allows you to set a pre-determined number of thread links per page; just measure out how long that is, and allow the article tile to extend to the same length. This would balance the page 'feel', as well as allow you to post more content. Just some thoughts. Otherwise, its nice - gives me something else to click on when I'm reading thru the forums. ![]()

On the subject of grouping, either make the article list articles related to the forum currently being browsed, or group them with headers as drgroove suggested, then place the group of articles related to the current forum at top, followed by the other groups. I think this would increase the use of those links and thus the number of folks following them, which I believe is the point of them being there in the first place.
