Recently while browsing through the net, I found a forum wherein once your problem was resolved then the OP can go back to the first post and edit the subject line by putting 'tick mark' icon before it. That seemed pretty useful, if we can have that here, at least much more useful than adding features like the time spent in the forum.

that has been talked about before but we decided it would be too much trouble and wouldn't work uniformly.

ps: anyone know why I keep getting auto-logged out?

Wouldn't work with respect to what? That is all user dependent to mark the thread. Its as simple as providing a tick mark with the smileys you already have, nothing else. No programming changes, no dB changes etc. etc. So, I think you people can think over it.

I'll tell you in a PM... it should be reported as a vB bug, imo.

grey is negative.... red only represents when a user has dropped below the 0 mark, I believe (and we all started with 10)....

Uhm... so are you saying there's a difference between "negative" and "dropped below the 0" ?? Damn... I gotta redo my math homework now!

    lol, I didn't say what I meant

what I actually meant was that I think the red dot is when a reputation hits sub-zero, and grey just represents somewhere between the 0 and 9 range.... I think, that is....

The grey ones appear to be helpful comments that didn't appear in the post, assigned by a mod/admin. I got a grey one for "helpful link" for the pointer to the vbulletin docs on the reputation system, but the comment didn't appear, so you have to follow the link to find out what it's for, but you can't see who it's from
