One of those days......
I have just spent the last several hours troubleshooting a script. I rewrote it, tried a different angle to do what I was doing, etc.

It all came down to something being capitalized that shouldn't have been capitalized. Oh how I hate that.

And now I'm having a Tequiza, and another, and maybe another.

The only complaint I have with OS scripting is I have yet to find a debugger like that of VB. That is the only thing I like about doing work in VB is the step through the program to see what is happening.

Anyone know of any programs out there that can do that? If not, I should get some funding and create one. I am sure there are a few people that would pay a couple bucks to have one.

But it is working!!

Of course, now the client wants a whole other feature that will be very hard to do. And may mean scrapping everything I've just done.

Been there. I find that taking some time away from programming then going back to it with a fresh head helps.

If that doesn't work I opt for Heineken.

My favorite is commenting a single line of 2000, forgetting it, getting the original problem debugged, cleaning up all your testing variables, etc., then spending the next several hours not figuring out why some variable (which unbeknownst to you is still commented out farther back in the code) isn't picking up the value you expect.

Ouch.
