Why do a survey of a limited group when you have resources like this:

    http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_os.asp

There's a lot of other similar demographics you can find googling something like: operating system market share

Maybe you should ask what you really want to know?

It does not make sense to ask linux people which OS they are using!

I am currently using Window 7 but from last couple of moths i was using Vista and its a headache to use that on your system,
Vista does not support most of the software and drivers.
But the feature i like most is its Supportive user interface and graphics, and it as well provide immense Computer support to your hardware as well.

I prefer Linux, but not so many people except software specialists find it as not-so-easy to use.

I use both Win and Linux.
Win 7 - Need to use Photoshop, Rapid PHP and Codelobster php

Linux - Ubuntu but thinking of trying Mint.
I like Linux... but for my work, need to use programs only available in windows.

Why can't you use GIMP and eclipse?

I use Netbeans and Aptana Studio on my Linux machine

But rather use the Rapid PHP and Codelobster PHP on windows, because it is fast, has a more complete toolbar for quick programming. Also Codelobster gives you thumbnail of the image and color when you hover over the script (html/css).

I also have GIMP loaded, but "lazy" to learn how to make full use of it. I have been using Photoshop for years, and can easily create or edit things fast.
I guess should make time to learn GIMP.

Gimp is no replacement for Photoshop, unfortunately.

While I'm a huge advocate of using open source solutions, there simply isn't a viable open source alternative to Photoshop. Gimp is OK, but in no way comes close to being a 1:1 replacement for Photoshop in the same way that, for instance, Open/Libre Office is basically a 1:1 replacement for MS Office.

Eclipse, on the other hand, rocks. I can't see why you'd want to code in any other environment (unless you were doing .NET, that is).
