I'll probably make the font bigger, and change it's spacing, so it goes accross the whole dark blue center, even over that blue thing.

What do you mean by:

There are no sharp angles in the button, whereas the logo is full of them.

I think I know what you mean... i can't make a duplicate of the logo, so resized it (to the same proportions) The distortion from resizing and the anti-aliasing photoshop automatically does probably screwed it up a lot.

And the font is easy to read on my computer.

Well, it's easy to read with the exception of "RIAL"... they just mush together. Also, you're using a different typeface for that text than they are on the web site. I would tend to want to keep it the same. ...and that icon isn't really an element that identifies the website itself, so I would get rid of it, IMHO.

I fixed that it looks a lot better.

If I get rid of the icon, what should I put there?

What does IMHO mean?

You shouldn't put anything there... just reposition the other elements so it's not so crowded. In My Humble Opinion.

I still say, you should do something along these lines.

Thanks! That may give me a good idea

I still wanna do the other one too. If I take out the stuff on the left, what should I put there so it doesn't look plain.

Well, it was the stuff on the right that you should take out. Consider recreating the stuff on the left by hand, to try to avoid the severe antialiasing.

You could try the Pen tool in Photoshop... or if you have access to Illustrator.

I don't have time now to try. I think my Photoshop CD comes with an Illustrator demo. How would I just illustrator to do it?

Huh? I think you need to proofread your posts before clicking "Submit" The same way, with the pen tool. It allows you to create vector based artwork that is infinitely scalable. ...Also, I would try to avoid transparency in a button of that size... since the colors are so similar, you don't get the intended effect.

Regardless of whether or not you use Illustrator to aid in the process of developing the graphic, you will ultimately need to use Photoshop to save the final image.
