Modern times mean different 'F'ing terms.
![]() Don't know if it is a weak point or not, it's just stating my opinion. Google, Yahoo, Lycos, Hotbot, AltaVista, surely one of them would ring a bell with the questionee if you said 'go search' for it. Usually I have done the search already when I do say that, so I know that it is there if they look. It's probably just because I have things to do at the moment, but I don't like it when people ask questions that will turn up on the first page of a search in Google. And... you can find out a lot more interesting things by looking round the web in search of code. Aye,http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=rtfm&meta=, look what is the first sentence that you are greeted with. Though the definition is a good one, use 'yes I have RTFM' when posting a question. I think I may use that quite a bit from now on, whether needed or not. Last edited by a man who RTFM last Wednesday and was NTFW for doing so! |

Quote:
I searched for "RTFM abbreviation" (without the quotation marks) and the first page on Google was a quite impressive success. By the way, in the jargon files "RTFM" is considered a "polite reminder". N07 3di73d. Long live the ETC!
