Good Afternoon,
I am looking for advice on what language to use to code a remote file access web page that would allow users to upload/download files for backup, recovery, file sharing purposes. I need to be able to display the directory structure and allow files to be dragged over the directory and automatically uploaded and vice-versa to download a file. Has anyone comes across a request like this? Are there any recommendations of languages to use to code something like this?? The key is I want to be able to give the user access from any PC without any special setup needed on their end. I would like to do something along the lines of xdrive.com and novell.com/ifolder I would like to thank you in advance for any suggestions and if perhaps I missed some needed information please reply and I will answer the replys asap. Sincerely, Scottka2000 |

Signed java applets maybe.
But since there is some kind of "war" going on between MS´s .net and SUN´s java with unknown results, there probably is no real solution that would work on any system ![]() Other oppinions?

Why re-invent the wheel here, just use a ftp client.
