Ahnold running for political office is not w/o precedent - keep in mind that he has served as the Cabinet advisor to Clinton on health related issues, and also served as the President of Austria (which is an entirely symbolic post, but still).

I hope he wins, really. He's been involved in politics for years, which is more than you can say for almost all of the other candidates in the California race.
(Plus I'm Republican, so I've gotta support anybody that takes out a Democrat governor )

I don't think anyone does.
I have a stack of CDs at home, the originals to all my MP3s. I've never shared music with anyone.

Me? I'm republican. I hope Arnald wins. Down with Demos! Demos are never as good as the real thing!

Arnold is NOT an idiot. He is a Republican with a little r, meaning he is a moderate Republican.

I do live in California. Governor Davis has been an embarassment to Californians for too long. Even many Democrats are admitting that now.

And I wish more programmers were libertarian. I would get into a lot less trouble with political topics on message boards.

I'm probably more libertarian than anything else, though reading brown's opinion on the reasoning behind this country's involvement in wars disgusted me.

My problem with this situation in CA is that it sets an ugly precedent: evicting an elected official before their term is up for no better reason than "we don't like you much any more".

Given the choice, I'd rather have republicans rule the country than democrats. Facism over socialism.

Well I don't consider myself republican, I definitely don't like democrats. So, I'd guess I'm more of a libertarian.

I believe Arnold is an intelligent guy and he can't do any worse than Gray Davis. Between the rolling blackouts, raising sales tax after it was just lowered, going from financial boom to bust, etc. this place was about to drive me nuts. We pay ton's in taxes (and they want to raise them), have a huge tax base and you're telling me we're almost broke? This state leaks money like a sieve.

They've cut $$ to schools, and now the CDF is probably going to have to charge people if they fight a fire on your property, nice very nice.

I'm hoping Arnold starts making this a more business friendly state.
