So how do these things work? If I wanted to get my web site at the top of the list when searching for something....how does that work?
Also, what if I wanted a specific description, not just a snippet of the web site. For example: I get this: My Site This is where a snippet of the web site info goes... I want this: My Site This is where my description that I choose goes... Does that make sense? Thanx, John |

makes sense. cannot be done. donīt try to fool them, your ranking will be reduced or you will even be banned. Quote:
you can supply a <meta name="description"> tag, but many search engines just ignore it. ![]()

I wasn't trying to fool them....I was just wondering if there was a way to do that. Apparently not. Thanx for your help. John |
